The art of knot tying is just as important as fishing itself.

These knots are designed to prepare you for anything. Suppose you need to join two sections of line together, whip out the blood knot and it won’t let you down. But if you need to tie a line to a hook, there are many ways go about it, but the Palomar Knot is by far the best.

The Palomar Knot is known as one of the strongest and most reliable fishing knots. This knot is great when used with a braided fishing line, and with a little practice you’ll be tying this knot with your eyes closed. Get practicing with these 5 easy steps:

I add one more step instead of trying to get the loop line through the hook eye. I run a single line through the hook eye and then back through the hook eye that way you’re not trying to jam two lines or Loop threw a little eye on a Little Hook. Also lick the line before you pull the knot tight.
